Carson City Health and Human Services’ tobacco control program strives to raise awareness about smoking and tobacco-related issues. The program supports the evidence-based practices and goals of the CDC. The four major goals are:

- Promote cessation among youth and adults
- Eliminate secondhand exposure
- Eliminate health disparities among diverse populations

Quit Tobacco Today!
The Nevada Tobacco Quitline provides FREE one-on-one counseling to Nevada residents 13 years and older. You and your quit coach will develop an individualized plan to help you quit. If you are an adult over 18 years old, you may qualify for FREE nicotine replacement therapy (gum, patches, or lozenges) to help you quit smoking.
The Quitline also provides FREE online services. When you enroll online, you can get additional tools, support, and a community of others trying to become tobacco-free. Experts will help you overcome common barriers such as dealing with stress, cravings, irritability, and weight gain.
