About Us

Breathe Free Northern Nevada is an initiative under Carson City Health and Human Services, operating with Northern Nevada’s Quad Counties.

We are funded by the CDC Grant, Funds for Healthy Nevada and SB263 grants that charge us to educate our communities about local and national Tobacco use.

Our Services

Each year, CCHHS’ Tobacco program puts on numerous presentation to a wide variety of community members – from our school aged youth to healthcare, education and public service workers.

Looking to bring a presentation from CCHHS into your workplace or home? Reach out to see what education materials we can offer.

Community Collaborations

We value the strength in collaboration in bringing the most up-to-date and valuable resources to our community. In order to achieve this we seek out active partnerships and work frequently with out neighborhood and statewide partners including: Partnership Douglas County, Partnership Carson City, Healthy Communities Coalition, Washoe County Health District, NTPC and Southern Nevada Health District among many others.

Need help connecting to your local resources regarding tobacco information? Reach out and we’ll help you find what you need!

Youth Engagement

Our youth focused information and research is only as effective as the youth we partner with. We value the voices of the next generation in championing health information for their peers and actively seek opportunities to spark this interest. While CCHHS doesn’t maintain a youth group, we partner with many agencies who do. Additionally we offer a lot of youth focused health information for dissemination, presentations and internship opportunities.

Reach out today to get connected to a local youth group in prevention, or to receive tobacco education materials specific for todays youth.
