Carson City is now accepting Letters of Intent to Apply for our Community Support Services Grant (CSSG) program. Non-profit organizations and government agencies qualify to receive funding through the program. Proposals must meet one of the following critical needs of the community:
• Mental Health/Substance or Domestic Abuse Services
• Youth Services
• Disabled Services
• Health/Dental Services
• Senior Services
• Educational Services
It is imperative that you describe in your letter of intent why your project is a critical need for the community. Approval to move forward with the application will depend heavily on how well you can justify how your project/program is satisfying a critical need.
CSSG Funding is provided on an annual basis, with the program year running from July 1 to June 30 of the following year. Current applications are for the 12-month period beginning July 1, 2019. Upon approval by the Board of Supervisors of the request, the grant money is included in the next succeeding year's budget and will be distributed on a reimbursement basis, without further hearing. All grants approved shall be subject to funding availability.
Each applicant that received funding in FY19 and is re-applying must complete a Progress Report detailing all of the funds expended, measurable outcomes, and benefit to the citizens of Carson City. The completed Progress Report must be submitted to the Department of Finance. If the current grant recipient is not applying, then the Annual Report will be due by June 30, 2019.
Letters of Intent will be due on February 15, 2019, by 5:00 p.m. to Carson City. Department of Finance. 201 N. Carson Street. Suite 31 Carson City. NV 89701. For more information call 775-283-7069 or e-mail MGavric@carson.org.
