Saturday, May 11th is Kid's Fishing Day! This is a free fishing event for kids under 12 years old. Kids will have the opportunity to learn how to bait a hook, cast and reel in a fish. Each kid is allowed to catch up to 3 trouts. Food and drink will be available for a very reasonable cost. Fishing rods will be provided for kids who do not have one, as well as bait, hooks and sinkers. There will be a special commemorative t-shirt.
Kids will have the opportunity to learn archery from the Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) experts. Loaner bows and arrows will be provided.
Also, Safari Club International is supplying their trailer of taxidermy wildlife for everyone to view.
Keep in mind that:
- Those who are 12 and older will need to have a Nevada fishing license as it is Nevada law.
- There will be a manned fish cleaning station for your convenience.
- Child supervision is not supplied. A child must have someone to supervise them in order to participate.
- There are no pets allowed at the pond.
