The Carson City Library presents an opportunity to "Explore the World @ Your Library" with a visit to Nicaragua on Thursday, January 25th, at 7 p.m. The tour guide for this PowerPoint presentation will be Carson City native Josh Lynn.
Mr. Lynn coordinated a forestry project in northern Nicaragua from 2000 to 2004 for the Fabretto Children's Foundation. This organization is dedicated to the alleviation of poverty in Nicaragua through daily educational programs and nutritional support of over 4000 Nicaraguan schoolchildren.
The Carson City Library, open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday, Saturday and Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., is located at the corner of Roop and Washington Streets. Telephone 887-2244 for more information.
