The
Carson City Sheriff’s Office 14th Annual Extreme Motor Officer
Training Challenge is back (Iron Horse Challenge). This year’s event will be
held on the 23th and 24th of June, 2017. The training
event will be held at Mills Park located at 1111 East William Street. The event
is post certified and the riders will receive 20 hours of post credit. The
training event is open to the public for spectating. The training event is open
to current certified motor officers. Motor officers will be training, riding
and discussing riding techniques with various motor instructors. This training
event is designed to help motor officers enhance their riding skills through
challenging skill patterns with camaraderie and some competition.
Training and practice will be held on June
23th, 2017; starting around 0700 hours and running thru 1700 hours.
The training and practice time will be held at Mills Park inside Oxoby Loop.
Following the training and practice time, the team events will begin and kick
off this year’s event. On June 24th, 2017, the training and
competitiveness continues with individual events starting around 0800 hours and
running thru 1700. We will be holding an award banquet directly after the event.
The Banquet will be held at the Gold Dust West. Rider’s registration fee
includes 1 banquet ticket. If other banquet tickets are needed they can be purchased
at the Banquet for $30.00.
