15th Annual Police Motorcycle Training and Competition

  • Date: 06/21/2018 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

This year the Carson City Sheriff’s Office will be holding our 15th annual Police Motorcycle Training and Competition.  The event is being held on June 21 through June 23, 2018 in Mills Park, adjacent to the Community Center (Oxoby Loop).  The three-day event brings together officers from across the region and state to take part in valuable training to keep them safe while performing their normal duties. The competition gives officers the opportunity to show their riding skills to residents and visitors; moreover, event spectators can meet officers in a non-enforcement role to discuss topics and share information.  Competitors ride police motorcycles of all types, in a competition with each other, against the clock, and even against the flow of gravity as they attempt to stay upright and accomplish the best results.  The event always concludes on Saturday afternoon with the most popular of spectator events, the “Last Man Standing” where the last rider stays upright without dropping his feet or motorcycle to the ground wins.

Our goal remains the same; to have a safe and fun event for riders, their families, and the spectators that are there to watch. We hope you will join us to share a day of food, fun, and friendship.  Admission is free for spectators of this family friendly event.

For more information please contact Sgt. Earl Mays 775-283-7869 or Dep. Joey Trotter 775-887-2020. To register visit http://carson.org/motorcomp.
