COVID-19 Vaccine
Carson City Health and Human Services offers COVID-19 vaccines at the Carson City Community Health Clinic each fall and winter. CCHHS will also have limited quantities of COVID-19 vaccines available at the Community Flu Events which occur at various community locations throughout the end of September through October.
The Carson City Community Health Clinic offers walk-in vaccinations every Thursday! No appointment is necessary.
Why Get a COVID-19 Vaccine?
Getting the 2024–2025 COVID-19 vaccine is important because:
- Protection from the COVID-19 vaccine decreases with time.
- COVID-19 vaccines are updated to give you the best protection from the currently circulating strains.
Getting the 2024–2025 COVID-19 vaccine is especially important if you:
- Never received a COVID-19 vaccine
- Are ages 65 years and older
- Are at high risk for severe COVID-19
- Are living in a long-term care facility
- Are pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to get pregnant, or might become pregnant in the future.
- Want to lower your risk of getting Long COVID
Cost
Bring your insurance card with you! Most insurance plans cover the cost of preventative vaccines. All insured patients are responsible for confirming their vaccination coverage with their insurance company.
For uninsured or underinsured, vaccines is $20. No one will be turned away for the inability to pay.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) offers a vaccine information sheet providing details of the COVID-19 vaccine being administered.
Privacy Practices
Your private details are safe with us. Carson City Health & Human Services will not share your health information with anyone, unless you tell us to in writing. We value your trust and work hard every day to earn it by providing the best services in a friendly and private setting.

Community Events
CCHHS will also be offering limited quantities of COVID-19 vaccine at flu clinics held at various community locations throughout September and October. These events are open to everyone! The COVID-19 vaccine will be available for those 12 years and older. The flu vaccine will be available for everyone 6 months and older. Bring your insurance card. If you do not have insurance, you will not be turned away. For uninsured the cost of a vaccine is $20.
