Carson City Health and Human Services  works closely with the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health Child Care Licensing to perform inspections on registered child care facilities within Carson City. Chapter 432A of both Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) and Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) govern and regulate child care facilities in Nevada. 

Below you can find a copy of the Carson City Health Department inspection checklist used for inspecting child care facilities in Carson City.

Commercial and home child care facilities that provide food shall have a health permit as required by Carson City Municipal Code before beginning operation, and shall be inspected annually in accordance with NAC 432A.260 and NAC 446. Please refer to CCMC’s food safety requirements when providing food at a commercial or home child care facility.
